Greensboro, NC – The Carolina Theatre of Greensboro announces new schedule additions to the Betty and Ben Cone, Jr. Auditorium, including CTG’s The Wizard of Oz and Greensboro Ballet’s The Nutcracker.

CTG’S 25TH ANNIVERSARY PRODUCTION OF THE WIZARD OF OZ

No show in the Triad can ever replicate the joy that Community Theatre of Greensboro audiences feel year after year as more than 100 talented kids, teens, and adults (both on-stage and backstage!) present this timeless classic. Welcome in the holiday season with Dorothy and her friends as they take you OVER THE RAINBOW!

CHRISTMAS AT THE CAROLINA (FREE EVENT)

Join the Carolina Theatre for a FREE morning of holiday fun! See the FREE movie, enjoy a FREE soft drink & popcorn, SING ALONG with the theatre’s historic pipe organ, visit and take pictures with SANTA & MRS. CLAUS in the theatre’s Renaissance Room, PLUS have a chance to win a BRAND NEW BIKE! This year’s movie is The Muppet Christmas Carol.
THIS IS A NON-TICKETED EVENT; FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED. Doors will open at 9AM for Christmas at the Carolina; carols start on the stage at 9:30AM, followed by the movie. Seating is limited. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Stay downtown and catch the holiday parade afterward!
GREENSBORO BALLET’S THE NUTCRACKER

Greensboro Ballet invites you to bring your family and friends to the festive holiday tradition of the season! Swirling snowflakes, giant mice, dolls that come to life and sweets from around the world are just some of the characters you’ll experience as you join Clara on her magical adventure.
Tickets are $40, $30, or $20, depending on location. Students and children (ages 2-18 or with Student ID), seniors (60+), and Military save $5 per ticket. Babes-in-arms (ages 0-23 months that will sit in your lap) are $10. A $3 Facility Fee and NC sales tax will be added to each ticket. Group rate available through the box office.
THE MUSIC OF CREAM (PRESENTED BY MAXX MUSIC)

Fifty years since their earth-shaking debut album, the bloodlines of the hallowed trio of Cream come together to pay tribute to the band‘s legendary four-album reign over the psychedelic frontier of the late 1960s. Kofi BAKER (son of Ginger) and Malcolm BRUCE (son of Jack) unite with Will Johns (nephew of Eric and son of Zeppelin/ Stones/ Hendrix engineer Andy) to unleash the lightning that electrified a generation.
Tickets are $47.50, $42.50, $37.50, $32.50 or $27.50, depending on location. A $3 Facility Fee, a $1 Promoter Fee and NC sales tax will be added to the price of each ticket.
