Center City A.M. Briefing: Presented by GMA, Downtown Greensboro Inc. and the City of Greensboro. Briefings are for anyone who lives, works or supports the downtown Greensboro area. These bimonthly meetings provide information on developments, activities, growth and projects for downtown. Each meeting features an in-depth presentation from a guest speaker & reports from city, fire and police officials as well as other agencies.
Police and Citizens Appreciation Dinner: GMA partners with the Greensboro Police Department to present this event each year in celebration of National Peace Officers Week to honor the heroic deeds and exceptional service of Greensboro police officers. Awards handed out include the Citizen’s Certificate of Merit, the Life Saving Award, Rookie of the Year and Officer of the Year. Police Week events also include the Law Enforcement Memorial 5K Run and a memorial service to honor officers who gave their lives in the line of duty.
Firefighter’s Appreciation Luncheon: Each year since 2002, GMA has hosted a luncheon at a local fire station to commemorate the anniversary of 9/11 and show our gratitude for the brave men and women of the Greensboro Fire Department.
High Point Holiday Festival Parade: Usher in the holiday season at the High Point Holiday Festival Parade. Produced by GMA each year on the Sunday before Thanksgiving, the parade includes local businesses, organizations, high school marching bands and, of course, Santa! Click Here to View Website
