GMA/FirstPoint Community Foundation Fund

In 2016, GMA and FirstPoint invested more than $1 million to create a new foundation fund with the mission of supporting projects with the potential to make a significant impact on the local economy and enhance life in Guilford County. The fund is invested and managed by the Community Foundation of Greater Greensboro. The initial contribution will continue to be supplemented. The fund's priorities include education, entrepreneurship and economic development. Initiatives focused on developing a high-quality workforce and to benefit small and medium-sized businesses are of particular interest. The foundation is not intended to be a small grant type of vehicle. Rather, it is for significant, major grants that will make a positive difference in the community. Only tax-exempt, non-profit organizations with an IRS 501(c)(3) status are eligible to apply for grants. The applicant organization must be based in Guilford County or a locality served by GMA members. Preference will be given to organizations supported by or referred to the fund by GMA members.
