Greensboro, NC – The Historic Carolina Theatre is pleased to present a season of festive and family-friendly fun in the auditorium and in The Crown at the Carolina. The full upcoming holiday schedule is below, with live performances including Holiday Cheer with Newberry & Verch, the Piedmont Triad Jazz Orchestra’s 5th Annual Holiday Concert, a Lowland Hum Christmas, and the Greensboro Oratorio’s Messiah, as well as non-holiday offerings from Bobby Bones and Beatlesque.
The Carolina Theatre’s Classic Holiday Movies will round out the month, including screenings in the newly-renovated auditorium as well as in The Crown at the Carolina, located on the third floor of the theatre in the performing arts center’s original sign shop-turned black box theatre.
Support for the Carolina comes from the Deuterman Law Group who will be returning as the Carolina Theatre’s holiday movie sponsor and will be accepting donations for the Greensboro Urban Ministry in the theatre lobby before the December screenings.
The Greensboro Urban Ministry Food Bank collects and redistributes food to at least 100 households each day, striving to bridge the gap for families struggling with food insecurity. Suggested donations include canned fruits and vegetables, proteins and soup, peanut butter, dry beans, rice, sugar, oatmeal, macaroni and cheese, baby food and formula, and Ensure. Guests who bring two or more items with them to theatre’s holiday movies will receive $1 off concessions as a thank you.
Additional sponsorship for the holiday movies at the Carolina Theatre comes from Wrangler and the Great American Movie Series, Imagine Travel, and DMJ, with support for Christmas at the Carolina, the theatre’s gift to the community, from NorthState and Fox 8’s Gifts for Kids.
