The “Tournament Town Block Party” will be held Saturday, March 18 in downtown Greensboro and feature a concert performance from multi-platinum recording artist Michael Ray [michaelraymusic.com]. Admission is FREE.

 Ray recently released The Warehouse Sessions, featuring live performances of songs from his recent project Higher Education. The Warehouse Sessions includes his fourth No. 1 single, Platinum-certified “Whiskey And Rain” and current single “Holy Water,” from Higher Education, along with his Platinum-certified No. 1 single “Think A Little Less” from his 2015 self-titled major label debut. Ray has garnered over 1 billion global streams, over 650,000 album equivalents, over 100 million YouTube views and has performed at the Grand Ole Opry over 65 times.

 Opening for Ray will be special guest Dylan Marlowe. A rising star in country music, Marlowe recently completed an opening stint on Cole Swindell’s most recent tour and has racked up over one million views on YouTube for his performance of “Driver’s License”.

 The concert will take place in the Hamburger Square area (McGee St. and Davie St.) along Elm Street in downtown Greensboro. Admission is free with gates opening at 3 p.m. Ray will take the stage at approximately 6 p.m. Entertainment will also be provided by DJ Mike Wawa featuring Geigespass..

 The “Tournament Town Goes Downtown Block Party” will celebrate the City of Greensboro and Greensboro Coliseum Complex’s hosting of three postseason college basketball tournaments and two major collegiate swimming and diving championships during the month of March.
