Tips for a Successful Family Meeting

 

When caring for an older family member or friend, a family meeting can be a useful tool for identifying changing needs, sharing caregiving responsibilities and making tough decisions. Join Jodi Kolada MGS, Director of Caregiver Outreach with Well∙Spring Solutions as she offers strategies on how to prepare for and hold a family meeting. She will also share tips to promote effective communication.

National Healthcare Decisions Day and YOU:

Legal and Medical Decisions to Consider Now

 

Join us as we partner with Cone Health, AuthoraCare Collective, The Elderlaw Firm & HealthTeam Advantage to celebrate National Health Care Decisions Day, an initiative to encourage people to express their healthcare wishes through all the proper channels and for providers to respect those wishes. This special event will include presentations from Risa Hanau, LCSW, Clinical and Community Educator with AuthoraCare Collective, Elderlaw Firm Attorney Dennis Toman & Angela Lewis-Myers, LCSW with Cone Health. Attendees will also receive resources from The Conversation Project to share with patients and loved ones for end-of-life planning. Additionally, all participants will have the opportunity to get a free Health Care Power of Attorney which can be scanned directly into Cone Health systems at the event. A notary will be onsite, so be sure to bring your photo ID.
