Triad Goodwill Improves Lives and Enriches Communities Through the Power of Work

 

 

GREENSBORO, NC – Every year during the first full week of May, Goodwill organizations across the U.S. and Canada celebrate Goodwill Week. The observance serves to raise awareness of the Goodwill mission to transform lives through learning and the Power of Work®. This Goodwill Week, which runs May 4-10, 2025, the organization is encouraging you to “Get to Know Your Neighborhood Goodwill,” which is the theme for the week. Goodwill is shining a light on the extraordinary ways people across the U.S. and Canada are transforming their lives for a brighter future.

To celebrate this initiative and theme Goodwill Industries of Central North Carolina, Inc [triadgoodwill.org]. (Triad Goodwill) is hosting a community tour of their Home Office at 1235 S. Eugene St. in Greensboro on Thursday, May 8 at from 2:00 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. Guests will get a behind the scenes look at the donation cycle and the organization’s sustainability initiatives. They’ll also learn how the organization uses the community’s generous donations to fuel their mission – and hear from a few of the organization’s program participants.

“This Goodwill Week, we want to spotlight the many programs and services offered by Triad Goodwill that help individuals in our local neighborhoods find jobs or advance in their careers,” said Teresa East, vice president of marketing for Triad Goodwill. “Goodwill believes that everyone in our community deserves the chance to thrive and have access to economic opportunities,” said East. “We are so grateful to our donors, shoppers, team members and job seekers who help bring these ideals to life every day.”

For more than 62 years, Triad Goodwill has helped people find jobs, support their families and feel the satisfaction that comes from stable employment. The organization offers specialized training to help individuals achieve skilled certifications, licensures or degrees. Current classes include HVAC, CDL Class A, and Construction. Triad Goodwill also offers the Careers On The Outside (COTO) program which offers a holistic and individualized services to individuals experiencing prior justice involvement and multiple barriers to employment.
