GREENSBORO, NC (January 2, 2019) – The Planning Department’s latest Growth and Development Trends Report [greensboro-nc.gov]  outlines indications that Greensboro’s economy continues to improve.

This trends report summarizes some of the most important data and trends shaping Greensboro. A few examples are:
• The unemployment rate continues to go down. Recent monthly rates are some of the lowest the City has seen since 2000.
• Median earnings and average annual wages have increased.
• Population growth, as well as annexation and building activity continue to increase.

“Greensboro continues to grow at a steady pace,” said Planning Director Sue Schwartz. “We are hopeful this trend will continue.”
